Storytelling Reflection

The question "How do stories teach about ourselves and the world?" made me think that stories can tell a lot about a person’s personality. For example, if someone likes comedy books the person may be really funny, but if the person likes romances it must be more likely to be a dainty girl.

In addition, there are lots of things in stories that talk about our world. For instance, it can say things about the people’s culture and it can also talk about the countrie’s characteristics. Those things can also teach us important leasons that are most likely told by our parentes so we don’t do things that are dangerous.

  1. Chloe,

I liked how you have examples and details showing a moderate understanding of your thinking.
I definitely agree with you about the personality point. Stories define who we are and might also tell something about ourselves. For example, if you are a person who loves adventure stories, you love suspense and being athletic. Also, enjoying and reading means you learn new things and might get another idea of what you think. For example, Luciana is a person who likes romance stories, but she might try an action story. After reading and liking the action story, Luciana will like to read more and more about action. However, I disagree with you in some parts because liking romance won't detain your from reading suspense stories. In conclusion, people may like different types of genres and still not read them every time. It’s good to always make a change so your understanding gets better.
