Is it a better deal to order a large pizza, even if you don’t want to eat it all?

Part 1

**I think what it means with a better deal is which pizza would be the best one to buy regardless how much time would it take for you to eat it.**

**What you need to know what is the area of the pizza and how much is each square inch.**

**Areas:**

**Large: 6 squared x π = 113/ 11 ÷ 113 = 0.1**

**Small: 4.5 squared x π = 63.6/ 8 ÷ 63.6 = 0.12**

**The better deal is the larger pizza since it costs less than the smaller pizza.**

**Part 2**

A large pizza has a circumference of about 66.9 inches and costs $13.85.

A small pizza has a circumference of about 50.2 inches and costs $9.50.

Compare the two pizzas to find out which one is a better deal. Explain your answer carefully.

**Large: 10.65 squared x π = 356.14/ 13.85 ÷ 356.14 = 0.03**

**Small: 7.99 squared x**

**π = 63.84/ 9.50**

**÷ 63.84 = 0.15**

**The best option is the larger pizza since it costs less than the smaller.**

**I chose this artifact because it has my best work. In class I did many equations and projects but the pizza project was the one I did the best. I worked very hard and I spent a lot of time making sure that it was correct. In fact, when I was researching through my previous projects to make sure I was doing the right equation, I saw how I improved in my work, especially now that there is new content and it is harder than previous quizzes and projects, since there are many decimals and high numbers.**
